I wuv Jake. I honestly do. :D

In one day, he showed considerable awe for my MSPaint skills (I was drawing the Adventure 02 kids in their winter gear from the Daemon episodes, freehand, on my laptop trackpad, with only the pencil tool, eraser, and filler-bucket) and incredulity at my hidden talent for Halo 3, despite playing one FPS in my lifetime--for the N64. And after the Halo incident, Greg said, "Wow, you're like... perfect girlfriend material. Except not really." Awesome half-compliment. For reals. XD I like that one.

Well, anyways. Jake makes-a me feel special. :3 Maybe Kendwa will let me dance with him once at Prom tomorrow night? Hmm.

Oh god please don't let my crush for him be coming back.

DAMN IT JAKE STOP BEING PERFECT

It's official. Dr. Wilson is the most reliable piece of technology I have EVER owned. He survived:

- A fall last year during AP English (no change)
- A fall last month (arm damage, worked for half a day and then failed)
- Three separate stays in two freezers (slight temporary recovery)
- Accidental flooding of his external casing (one day in front of the fan to dry out)
- Three weeks of unreadability, total disk death

This morning he came to life out of nowhere, the computer recognized him, and I pulled all my pictures off safely. And y'know what?

He's never lost a single byte of my data.

Rest in Peace, lil' guy. It's been a great two years.

I have spent the past week trying to bring Dr. Wilson back to life so I can retrieve my picture files. Why go to all that trouble?

I did NOT spend all summer dredging the far corners of the Internet for fanart to lose it to a BLUESCREEN. D<

...godI'msotired.

Jessie, George and I cut half our classes to drive up to the King of Prussia Mall up in PA. It was so much fun! They made me try on clothes in Abercrombie and Fitch, though. D: It smelled like cologne and elitism.

And after that we went to Jessie's, watched some House (while I made House/Wilson commentary), and ate dinner. I totally left my purse at her house. Whoops!

Then I came home and--oh, damn! I forgot to put my laundry in the dryer, soon as I'm done this I'll go get that done!--we ate dinner here too (I ATE SO MUCH TODAY T-T) . Then mom and Rob started watching politics and I went upstairs to watch stuff on my laptop. Yesterday I watched Myuutsu no Gyakushu and today I watched Maboroshi no Pokémon - Lugia Bakudan! #1 was subbed (my god I love ryuu_rogue), but I had to choose between the RAW and the dub for #2. TAKE A GUESS. (hint: I hate kids dubs.) Cool thing was, I understood about 60% of the dialogue in Lugia Bakudan. And oh, I love the Roketto-dan. And Rica Matsumoto! <333 "Mezase Pokemon Master" gives me chills. YEEE.  Nakanakanakanakanakanakanakanaka taihen dakedo~ GETTO DA ZE YEAH YEAH!!!

A good day, except George was late getting out of Spanish and I ran into LaBarbera after I skipped his Psych class. D: Now I have to "make it up to him". I bet it involves a thesis and a cruel prank. :< And I STILL haven't written that paper for that class!

AUGH, it's already 1:12! D: WHERE DO MY DAYS GO.

I just wanna sit around and watch all the TV from my childhood in Japanese. :< Summer will be AWESOME.

thoughtful

current location: Bed
current mood: thoughtful
current song: UD Choir - "Ubi Caritas"

Went to Jake's, like any Friday. Kevin was there... and since Sarah Jane and Doctor Who and Battlestar Galactica ran the three hours I was there, I only had a little conversation with him. I made him laugh once. I was really happy. I love his company. But every time I leave, well, to borrow an expression from the Sailor Moon manga: "で, 星が落." ("It feels like stars are falling in my heart.")

Maybe some day I can tell him I love him. I don't know how.

Till then, I'll settle for making him laugh, and I'll keep listening to him talk in that voice full of numbers, and love every little melody he speaks. God, I haven't heard him sing in so long. Maybe I could ask him to...? Would that be odd? Yeah... it would. But I want to. I miss it. I miss him. I want him to like me so desperately, like a wilting flower grasping at the scent of rain. But I'm just going to keep wilting, because he'll never see me as more than "that alto who loves music and goes to Jake's and stares at me sometimes."

I just want to listen to Mr. Tejada's choir sing, and maybe cry a little. I feel poetic. Being away from Kevin after seeing him makes me feel poetic. I love that about him so much. But then, if he loved me, I guess I wouldn't feel this hurt that makes me write.

Maybe I was meant to fall in love with him...

...and he was meant not to fall in love with me...?

Well, Dr. Wilson did it. All my Digimon episodes, all my music, pictures; safe and sound and about to be burned to some ISOs all afternoon. So I'm just gonna sit here with him next to me while I back things up, and when all's said and done I'll just set him on the bed-arm next to the toy dinosaur and the notecards and he can just stay at my bedside for as long as I can stand to see him all burned-out.

Oh, Danny Boy...

exhausted

current location: Bed
current mood: exhausted
current song: whirr-click, whirr-click, whirr-whirr...whirr...whirr-cli-click....

Well, Dr. Wilson is wrapped in some plastic bags, sitting in a DVD-R cylinder package full of ice, fighting to transfer his .dat file to my main notebook drive with the last of his whirr-click energy. His little blue light flickers sometimes. He's already transferred 21% of the data. He'll probably finish by tomorrow night, and then I can burn the rest of this stuff to a bunch of ISOs and format him, see if it helps. Poor boy. He had a good run--I've had him since two Christmases ago and he's survived three worrying falls, a lot of squashing, and some stepping-on, and never a single error until he fell four feet from the dining room table and smacked into the tile. Oh, my poor baby. Going out like my DS Lite--a minor fall from about 4-5 feet.

Gatsby, my laptop, doesn't even recognize him any more. Just says, "Drive E: Missing." So in "My Computer" now it's just Dr. McKay and "Missing" where Dr. Wilson oughtta be.

Sigh.

I'm... I'm gonna watch Diablomon no Gyakushu. Again. And since I just got back from a six hour rehearsal, I'll probably just fall asleep in the middle of the opening credits. I'm so tired. And I can't skip any classes tomorrow, either.

...I think I'll stay up and watch over Dr. Wilson a little longer. If he crashes during the night, I'll feel terrible. I might crash from being up all day and being so unrested last night, but it's okay. I'd rather stay with him a little while and listen to him whirr-click away in his ice-bucket, like he's murmuring a few last words to me.

It's sad when an Iomega 60GB External Hard Drive is your best friend, eh?

Boy is Janis going to get an earful of tearful technobabble at therapy tomorrow... :<

Wish I could find a decent sub of Diablomon no Gyakushu!. I mean, the fansub version I have now is almost decent where it's important, but they made up a looot of words. So now I have a raw and a subtitle maker and I now have my post-Musical project!

That one scene where everyone parts to let Daisuke and Ken through to Wormmon and V-mon and then "Target" plays, though? EVEN MORE AWESOME IN THE RAW.
